Every year on June 5, we celebrate World Environment Day. In 2012, Greenation created this direct action where we gave free bags to random people in Jakarta. We printed around 250 bags. That might not be a big number, but that was an achievement for us to do fundraising for only a week and turned what we got to be something that we can share to other people.

We sold reuse bottles to get funding and printed bags that we gave for free or exchanged it with their plastic bags. We were like 20 people, spread out all over Gelora Bung Karno, fX mall, and around. It wasn’t just a giveaway, but also sharing awareness directly to groups of people.
